About Dr. James Chappuis

Dr. Chappuis, is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery as an orthopedic spine surgeon, and licensed in Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. He is the founder and owner of Spine Center Atlanta.

Dr. James Chappuis graduated summa cum laude from the University of Toleda, Ohio with a BS degree in science. He attended medical school at the University of Toledo, and completed his internship at Mercy Health (formerly Mercy Hospital) in Toledo. James Chappuis completed two residencies: first in general surgery at Methodist University Hospital and the second in orthopedic surgery at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic. Dr. Chappuis then finished an AO spine fellowship in Karlsbad, Germany at Klinikum Karlsbad-Langensteinbach.

Dr. James Chappuis has developed a holistic approach to medical care, utilizing a combination of cutting-edge medical treatments and personalized care for each individual patient’s needs.

In his free time, Dr. Chappuis is a fan of college and professional sports. James Chappuis enjoys horticulture and travel, as well as research and development. Dr. Chappuis also hosts events at the Westside Cultural Arts Center in West Midtown Atlanta, which he founded in 2014.
